We recently reported that Hallyu star So Ji Sub has been offered the leading role in SBS' upcoming drama. According to his promoter 3HW on March 13th, So Ji Sub took on the offer and has been cast for the new drama "Ghost" (tentative title).

So Ji Sub will play a detective for the first time in his acting career. He will take the role of detective Kim Woo Hyun, an elite and cold man who graduated with top honors from the National Police University.

"Ghost ", which was helmed by producer Kim Hyun Sik from TV series "Sign" and "I Am Legend", will revolve around the world of cyber crime investigators. The drama is scheduled to hit the airwaves every Wednesday and Thursday starting May.

So Ji-sub to star in drama "Ghost - Drama"?

Actor So Ji-sub is currently negotiating terms with the production crew of new SBS drama "Ghost - Drama".

So Ji-sub's agency told OSEN on the phone, "It's been a while since he got offered a role in the drama "Ghost - Drama". We are looking through the terms and nothing has been confirmed yet".

So Ji-sub starred in the 2010 MBC drama "Road No. 1" as commissioned officer Lee Jang-woo, a former petty officer born a poor farmer. This will be the first time in 2 years since he's been in a drama if he decides on "Ghost - Drama".

"Ghost - Drama" is about a cyber investigation squad by producer Kim Hyeong-sik. It's apparent that Kim Eun-hee, wife of producer Jang Hang-joon wrote the scenario for this drama.

Meanwhile, "Ghost - Drama" will be broadcasted after "The Rooftop Prince" in May.

Bobby Kim and So Ji-sub collaborating for a music project!

Actor So Ji-sub will be transforming into a rapper.

For a mini-album that is set to release in the middle of this month, So Ji-sub will transform as a rapper. So Ji-sub will be collaborating with Bobby Kim.

The word on the street is that Bobby Kim has been fully supporting So Ji-sub, even making an appearance in his music video.

Bobby Kim shared about So Ji-sub, "his rhythmical rapping skills and musical knowledge was impressive. I have can say that his musical talents are as good as his acting skills."

"I am thankful to Bobby Kim for showing a lot of affection for this album. This album shines more because he has agreed for the duet,” shared So Ji-sub regarding his upcoming album.

Korean heartthrob So Ji-Sub turned heads around the world with his role in 2008's Rough Cut. Already a star of television dramas, Rough Cut put So back on the map in Korea after a couple years away while he did his mandatory military service and he has been very selective with his roles since, appearing in big budget TV drama Cain And Abel and Chinese feature Sophie's Revenge. And soon he will be back on the big screen at home thanks to his lead part in Lim Sang-yoon's A Company Man.

Hyeong-do is a VP-level assassin in a contract killing organization masked as a metal trading company. For this cold-blooded professional, killing is nothing more than daily business dealings. One day, he is assigned on a job with an outsourced help, Hun-yi, who is to be eliminated afterwards. Before meeting his fate, Hun-yi asks Hyeong-do a favor - to deliver money to his family. After much hesitation, Hyeong-do visits Hun-yi's house and meets a woman. It is Su-yeon, a former singer that Hyeong-do used to adore. After meeting her, a subtle change takes place in Hyeong-do's heart; he begins feeling regrets about his job. In the meanwhile, the company discovers that Hyeong-do didn't kill Hun-yi as instructed. They decide to remove him from the organization.


Hyeong-do, who now hopes to start a new life with Su-yeon, finds himself being hunted by the very organization he worked for.

There are obvious shades of A Bittersweet Life in that synopsis and if this can live up to that earlier picture it will end up being one of the best of the year. A Company Man is due for release later in 2012.
